Conference Weekend

What did you do on conference weekend? Well, here's some of what we did.

So, Jackson's dream for quite some time has been to own a knife. In fact, it has been an item of discussion almost EVERY day for a few months. So, Saturday we went with Jake to a business fair he was working a booth at, and when we wandered around to the other booths the boys quickly figured out almost everyone had cool junk--oops--I mean stuff that they could take. A little to our dismay, one booth had a pocketknife. An atypical one-it has a flashlight, a pen, a bottle opener, and yes, a little knife. So we've set rules that he cannot take the knife out without parental supervision or he will lose it. We'll see how that works out. So on Sunday morning he insisted on going outside to try out his new knife on a stick. The picture's a little foggy because I took it through my very clean kitchen window, I didn't want to ruin the pose by opening the door. I'm glad Jake was watching him like a hawk!

Pileup on the couch. Poor James is such a popular older brother that he lays down to rest and the other boys can't leave him alone.

Nice face, Jack. Of course James loves to cuddle his little "Fuzzy" as he has nicknamed Jude.

One of Jude's favorite things to do is stand on the couch and look out the front window. James and Jack decided to join him. Who knew watching cars drive by could be so much fun?

Jack's preschool introduced us to a new fun project: painting toast. You put a little milk in each bowl, then add a little food coloring, get out your pastry brushes, and paint some bread. Try not to get it too soggy. Then, you stick it in the toaster oven and cool! Colored Toast!
