The local theatre in town very kindly helps the 4th grade classes in all of the elementary schools write, learn, and produce a play. Community volunteers also help the kids write a song that goes along with the play. All of the classes learn each others' song, so this picture is the kids singing. James is in the middle, next to his seated teacher.
James's class play was a sort of spin off from "Night at the Museum". All of the plays were about the early explorers because that is what the kids have been studying about in social studies. James played the role of John Cabot. Here he is in "statue mode" while the museum is still open.
Once the museum closes of course the statues come to life and tell the kids (who have managed to stay in the museum after closing) about their lives and adventures.
James really enjoyed the experience and did very well! The kids even threw in some humor by having a brief cameo from Dora the Explorer (who was played by a boy in a wig).

Wow that's cool.i can't believe how old James looks I these pics...I even did a double take.
Fun! Sammy just did the tree house museum in Ogden, and loved being in the little play there! James is getting tall! Love you guys!!

What a great experience to give these kiddos! Looked like a lot of fun- James really is growing up so tall- the girlies can hardly wait to get together again this summer!
